Thanh Há lychee, a key agricultural product grown primarily in Thanh Há district, accounts for approximately 3,300 hectares of the province's total 8,800 hectares of lychee orchards. The 2025 harvest season spans from late May to June, with an expected yield of around 60,000 tonnes, including 32,500 tonnes of early lychee and 27,500 tonnes of main-season lychee. Thanh Há district alone is projected to harvest about 38,000 tonnes.
The province has secured numerous certifications, including 198 planting area codes and 16 packing facility codes, to support export quality and traceability. Moreover, over 70 lychee growing zones have been certified with VietGAP or GlobalGAP standards.
In addition to the traditional market of China, which consumes about 15,000 - 20,000 tonnes of Thanh Há lychee, the fruit is now exported to high-end markets such as the United States, Japan, Australia, the United Kingdom, and the European Union. According to estimates, over 45,000 tonnes of lychee will be exported in 2025, with Major Vietnamese companies like Ameii Vietnam and Red Dragon signing purchasing agreements with local cooperatives to meet international market demands.
Strict adherence to product quality and sugar content is maintained to cater to the specific demands of each market. Packaging involves using plastic trays or foam boxes with logos and traceability labels, and lychees are trimmed at the stem according to export guidelines.
