Visits by Hauk in Rural Regions
Minister Peter Hauk embarked on a comprehensive tour of various agricultural, forestry, and sustainability projects across Germany during the month of August 2025.
The tour began on August 12, where Minister Hauk visited the Mack family and their straw pig customers, the Metzgerei Linder in Denzlingen. The following day, he visited the Geßlerhof in Ebenweiler and the Agri-Photovoltaic Model Plant Test Field in Merdingen.
On August 14, Minister Hauk inspected the "Goose Management Concept" pilot project in Esslingen and paid a visit to the LEKI company in Kirchheim Teck. The same day, he also visited the Competence Center for Fruit Growing, Garden and Landscape in Weil der Stadt.
The tour continued with a visit to the Steinhauser Distillery in Kressbronn and the Research Institute in Langenargen on August 13. Minister Hauk also took time to visit the wooden new construction of the Pfahlbaumuseum in Uhldingen-Mühlhofen on August 20.
In his quest to understand the current situation regarding African Swine Fever, Minister Hauk informed himself on August 19. On August 21, he visited climate-resilient forests in Neuenstein and a test field for climate change adaptation in the fruit-growing sector in the Spiegelberg community.
The tour concluded with a visit to the city forest of Villingen-Schwenningen on August 20.
