Vlad Micu Takes the Helm at INNO Investments, Pursuing Growth in Alternative Funds

Vlad Micu, a seasoned banking professional with nearly three decades of experience, has been appointed as the General Manager and Chairman of the Board of Directors of INNO Investments, a company within the Banca Transilvania Group that specializes in managing alternative investment funds.

Micu's extensive background includes roles in corporate banking, investment banking, trade finance, and business development across several Romanian banks. Prior to his current appointment, he was responsible for coordinating corporate loans at Banca Transilvania. He holds an Executive MBA from the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration.

INNO Investments, formerly known as OTP Asset Management Romania S.A.I., underwent rebranding in June 2025, following its acquisition by the Banca Transilvania Group in October 2024, along with all OTP Group entities in Romania. The company has since received authorization from the Romanian Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF) as an Alternative Investment Fund Administrator, with Micu receiving ASF approval for his leadership role.

In his new roles, Micu aims to grow alternative investment fund management in Romania. He sees significant medium and long-term growth prospects in the areas of private equity and venture capital, particularly with the development of thematic or sector-focused funds aimed at supporting Romanian entrepreneurial initiatives from seed capital through additional funding rounds and stock exchange listings. This strategy complements the financial services of the broader Banca Transilvania Group.

Background

Prior to joining Banca Transilvania, Micu held various management positions in several banks in Romania. He has also served on the Boards of Directors of leasing companies and financial investment service firms (SSIF).
