Westbound Buses F and FM momentarily halt service on the western side of the primary terminal
Due to ongoing construction work at the intersection of Dornheimer Weg/Michaelisstraße from August 4th to 15th, there will be changes in the bus routes for lines F and FM in Darmstadt-Nord.
The "Rodensteinweg/Altes Schalthaus" stop cannot be served during this period, and the "Cologne Street" stop will not be served in the opposite direction before 07:30 and after 21:00. As an alternative, buses F and FM will stop on the west side of the main station under the bridge.
In the opposite direction, buses will first stop at the main station before the Kinopolis in Goebelstraße. Passengers are advised to remain on the bus at the "Haasstraße" end stop and get off at the "Cologne Street" stop on their return journey towards Oberwaldhaus, Messel, or Urberach. The Cologne Street bus stop is omitted entirely in the direction of Haas Street due to the construction work.
The "Moldenhauerweg" stop has been moved to Dornheimer Weg at house number 40, and the "Im Harras" stop will be temporarily located before the entrance to the Starkenburg-Kaserne.
The schedule for bus lines F and FM, which pass through Darmstadt-Nord, has been altered due to construction work. After the construction work, the buses will stop again on the main side of the main station.
For the most accurate and current information on the rerouting of bus lines F and FM in Darmstadt-Nord due to construction work at Dornheimer Weg/Michaelisstraße, including alternative stops and temporary changes, I recommend consulting the official Darmstadt public transportation website or customer service.
In the altered schedule for bus lines F and FM, buses will temporarily stop on the west side of the main station under the bridge as an alternative for the "Rodensteinweg/Altes Schalthaus" stop, which is unavailable due to the construction work. Furthermore, passengers using these lines might need to consider using the public-transportation stops on Cologne Street, as it will be skipped in one direction during the construction period, but should use it on their return journey towards other stops such as Oberwaldhaus, Messel, or Urberach. This change also affects financing in the other industry of public-transit, necessitating adjustments to maintain service continuity.
