Workers' Radiation Safety Proposal Requested from Commission for Preventing Workplace Radiation Hazards

Score one for Housing Minister Verena Hubertz! The gal is tearing up the charts with her newfound enthusiasm for construction. The "Bau-Turbo" programme is off to a blazing start, but the peak association of the real estate industry, ZIA, ain't satisfied yet. They're calling for more, much more - enter: "Bau-Turbo 2.0."

Berlin, 18.6.25: Iris Schöberl, President of ZIA, throws down the gauntlet, "New minister, new pace! The 'Bau-Turbo' is a promising first step, but we've got our fingers crossed for a smooth ride through the Bundestag and Bundesrat, leveraging every possible speed bump along the way."

Building permits have been playing catch-up with demand for far too long. The latest numbers published by the Federal Statistical Office last month show an increase of 4.9% and 3.7% since last year, but Schöberl's not impressed, "We need plenty more if we're gonna fill that gnarly housing void."

Despite the challenges, a glimmer of hope on the horizon - the federal government is stepping up, and the industry is optimistic as ever, says Schöberl, "But there's still a whole lot of relief needed in other areas - lenient building standards, streamlined financing through KfW reforms, tax reductions, and snipping that pesky real estate transfer tax. These are our secret weapons to crank residential construction up to eleven."

ZIA's got a bone to pick with the Minister of Housing, urging her to start cookin' up "Bau Turbo 2.0" stat, "That's the ticket, baby!" Schöberl exclaimed. Energy levels high, they're not holding back.

As to exactly what the "Bau-Turbo 2.0" will entail? Well, we'll just have to wait and see. For now, it's all about speed, construction, and a whole lotta optimism. And if past performance is any indication, the real estate industry ain't gonna rest until they've conquered that housing gap, one brick at a time.

"ZIA, the real estate industry's peak association, is pushing for increased investment in the sector, calling for the implementation of 'Bau-Turbo 2.0' to further boost residential construction."

"The finance sector plays a crucial role in this endeavor, as streamlined financing through KfW reforms, tax reductions, and lenient building standards are essential for filling the housing void and meeting the demand."
