X CES presents Eyeris, OMNIVISION, Leopard Driver, and Occupant Monitoring Systems
Leopard Imaging, OMNIVISION, and Eyeris Technologies have joined forces to deliver a production-ready in-cabin AI reference design solution, set to be showcased at CES 2024. This innovative collaboration offers automotive customers an advanced 3D software solution, accompanied by a hardware production reference design kit for in-cabin sensing.
Leopard Imaging, a global leader in high-definition embedded cameras and AI-based imaging solutions, has partnered with Eyeris Technologies, a world leader in vision-based AI software for automotive in-cabin sensing, headquartered in Mountain View, Calif. Eyeris is renowned for its monocular 3D sensing AI technology, which allows any 2D image sensor, including RGB-IR sensors, to provide valuable depth-aware whole-cabin sensing.
The partnership utilises OMNIVISION's OX05B image sensor and OAX4600 image signal processor. OMNIVISION, a global fabless semiconductor organization, develops advanced digital imaging, analog, and touch and display solutions for multiple applications and industries. The OAX4600 ISP processes Eyeris' monocular 3D sensing AI data, while OMNIVISION's award-winning innovative technologies enable a smoother human/machine interface in many of today's commercial devices.
The advanced depth-aware driver monitoring system (DMS) and occupant monitoring system (OMS) production reference design will be the first in the automotive industry to address the need for depth-aware in-cabin sensing data. The solution is a turn-key solution with a unique combination of AI-based depth-aware DMS and OMS data, processed on OMNIVISION's RGB-IR image sensor and ISP platform.
Leopard Imaging, an elite member of the NVIDIA Partner Network and a member of the AWS Partner Network, works closely with the most established sensor companies in producing advanced camera solutions for global customers. The production reference design integrates Eyeris' monocular 3D sensing AI software algorithm with Leopard Imaging's 5-megapixel backside illuminated global shutter camera.
Eyeris holds the world's largest naturalistic in-cabin dataset for vehicle interior monitoring solutions. The company has won several autotech awards for the last eight years, including "Best Cockpit of Future Technology," "Most Innovative In-Cabin Perception Application," "Best Automotive Safety System," and "Best Product for driver and occupants monitoring AI."
This collaboration is set to revolutionise the automotive industry by providing a safer and more comfortable driving experience. The advanced in-cabin sensing solution is expected to be a game-changer in the realm of automotive safety and comfort. The production reference design will be showcased at CES 2024, where the integrated AI sensing technology for automotive interiors will be presented.
