Competition for Russia's Best Welder to Take Place in Yakutsk
From June 9 to 11, Yakutsk will host the Regional Stage of the All-Russian Professional Mastery Competition, NAKS "Best Welder of Russia-2025." This event is organized by the National Agency for Welding Control, seeking to find the strongest welding professionals in the region.
The competition in Yakutsk is orchestrated by LLC "Yakutsk Welding Center" in collaboration with the Yakut branch of "OPORA RUSSIA." The center has been certifying welding specialists and technologies since 2013, serving as the official and sole representative of the SRO "NAKS Association" in the republic.
Participants will compete in two categories, including arc welding with covered electrodes (RD) and arc welding with gas-shielded electrodes (MP). The judging panel will consist of employees from the Yakutsk Welding Center. The event is open to welding professionals from enterprises operating in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) as well as individual participants.
In last year's competition, Yakutia was represented by Vladimir Politiko, a welder from the Yakutsk GRES branch of PAO "Yakutskenergo," who placed 45th in the RD category, and Andrei Sleptsov, a welder from the Production Center of AO "Sakhaenergo," who obtained 22nd place in the MP category.
Record-breaking success was achieved in 2023 when the Russian team "Russia NAKS Team" secured first place in the "Arc Cup International Welding Competition - 2023" with six gold medals and the maximum points accumulated. The competition hosted 343 welders from 57 teams from countries such as Belarus, Bulgaria, Cameroon, Germany, Ghana, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Mongolia, Romania, Serbia, Indonesia, Singapore, South Africa, India, Vietnam, and many more, making it a global event attracting hundreds of welding organizations.
