Yakutia's Road Revolution: 215 km Planned in 2024, 431 km Improved in 2023
Yakutia, Russia, is set to significantly improve its road infrastructure. The federal budget has allocated over 8 billion rubles for the construction of 144.34 km of regional roads and 31 km of roads in the Yakutsk city agglomeration. This project aims to enhance safety and quality, aligning with President Putin's national project.
In 2023, Yakutia has already made significant strides. A total of 431.48 km of roads were brought to a normative state, including 299.65 km of road surface laying. This impressive feat places Yakutia first in the Far East and 18th among all regions of Russia. The first deputy prime minister, Dmitri Sadovnikov, has overseen the conclusion of 18 contracts for regional roads and 13 out of 19 contracts for Yakutsk city roads.
Looking ahead to 2024, Yakutia plans to construct at least 175 km of roads as part of the national project. Key sections of the Amga, Umnas, Nam, Mukhutya, and Yana automobile roads are slated for completion, along with the reconstruction of Moyzhesky Street in Yakutsk city.
With these ambitious plans, Yakutia is poised to significantly improve its road network. The construction will not only enhance safety and quality but also facilitate better connectivity and economic growth. The successful completion of these projects will depend on the continued efforts of responsible authorities and officials.
